  摘要:

The Arctic is full of surprises and dramatic changes.  While being far away from continental pollution sources there is Arctic haze on near continental level every winter, which disappears in spring.  But not even in summer the packice covered Arctic is as clean as one would expect from its remoteness.  New aerosol particles are formed even near the North Pole that may be ice-free in summer in a few decades.  The lecture will take you through 40 years of Arctic aerosol research with a focus on aerosol particles that are connected with marine life in the open sea and in the open waters of the packice region.
